I use the Hi Vis Gold as it is tough for me to see clear line. It casts very well and has good strength. I fish all clarity of water and trout and have seen no difference in using Hi Vis type lines verses clear mono. I fish mostly panfish and gamefish by casting and redo about 35 yards of line every three trips or so depending on how many fish I catch and what the line wear looks like. I see where people have trouble with twists in line and most times this is due to winding it on the spool incorrectly or your might have a problem with your bail bearing on your reel. regardless of what line you use, when you wind it off the spool, open face reels wind best with the spool facing one way and closed face with the spool flipped over. Wind a little of new line on and then release the bail to see if it tangles up. If it does flip the spool over and try. If you've made the mistake and wound incorrectly you can fix out on the water. take the lure off and feed out the line behind the boat and slow troll till the line is fed out then rewind. happy fishing!

Stren always has quality fishing line. I used this to hang a model airplane (fairly big) from the ceiling and it's worked great for that also.
