Genuine AprilAire filters are specifically engineered to work with your AprilAire air cleaner and come with the Pure Fit Promise ensuring that the filter will fit your AprilAire air purifier equipment exactly. Efficient home and system protection - extremely low initial resistance and high dust holding capacity support up to 6 month filter life, saving you time on furnace filter changes compared to traditional 1-3 month filters. Wow! This filter actually works. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. We moved into a new home last fall and every time I cooked a meal the smell would linger in the house. It got to the point where our clothes were even smelling like food. I purchased this filter and I was skeptical about it actually helping with the kitchen odors but it truly has helped. Usually when I would get home from work I would still smell what I made for dinner the night before but not now. I only smell clean air. I would definitely recommend this filter if you have any odor issues in your home.

I tried the off-brand and it was all cardboard around the ends. This filter is for my central air and the Lennox unit actually has a slide-out metal rack (like a drawer) that the metal edges of this filter fit onto. Once the top and bottom are on, you slide it back in place and put the end cover back on and your central air / furnace work like a charm for 2-3 mos. I have an air purifier in the house and, when I run the off-brand filters on my central air, that air purifier runs almost constantly though not at full speed. When I have an aprilaire filter in the central air unit, the air purifier only comes on when there are odors from cooking or some activity. I buy the AprilAire brand 4 to 6 times a year and it is well worth the extra money that I spend. I won’t pay outrageous prices so I eat it and get the off-brand if these go up but all things considered, I much prefer to use AprilAire filters on my central air and furnace.

We have been using these premium Aprilaire furnace filters for several years now. Once you pick one of them up you will quickly realize that these are no ordinary filter! When we switched over from the standard filters to these we noticed a slight reduction in odor right away and they seem to do a great job with dust. We run both of our furnace fans 24/7 and change them out every six months. No complaints!
