This bag is perfect for work/school! I love an organized bag and this tote has enough pockets and pouches for everything! I work in a school setting, but travel between multiple sites so I have to carry binders, laptops, office supplies as well as personal items (and of course a big thermos!). This bag has solved all my problems by working as my office bag and purse all in one. No more need to carry multiple bags! The material is sturdy canvas and the zippers, handles, straps are all well made and heavy duty. It comes with an attachable shoulder strap, but the fixed hand straps are large enough to carry over the shoulder. I only need the shoulder strap if I want to use it as a cross body bag. I don't typically use it with a roller bag, but it does also have a strap in back to go over a handle.The front has 3 layers of pockets: an open pocket, a larger pocket with multiple open pouches as well as a zippered mesh compartment and an even larger pocket with fabric dividers. The main compartment accommodates multiple notebooks/binders. On one side off the main compartment are open pockets and on the other side are two padded pockets. The larger padded pocket fits my 15" MacBook Pro with room to spare. While the inside of this pocket (towards the interior of the bag) is padded, the outer wall is not (towards the outside of the bag, so I keep my laptop in it's protective case. This pocket could accommodate a larger laptop, but with the case, the 15" pretty much fills it. The second smaller padded sleeve has protection on both sides. When transporting my smaller work laptop, the extra case isn't necessary. The vertical velcro straps holds technology securely in place. The exterior side pockets have an elastic with a good amount of stretch, so it does accommodate a larger thermos. The latch also opens so that it can be secured through a handle.The gold zippers and pulls are very bright and a little too "blingy" against the dark colors for my taste, but that's just a personal preference. Overall, this is the perfect bag for those that love extra pockets and pouches and need a sturdy and professional looking work bag.

Amazon invited me to review this as part of the Vine program. While unostentatious, this is a great carry-all, and my wife is going to use it both locally and as a personal item on the airplane. As long as it isn't overstuffed, it should fit under seats just fine.On the front it has three nested, zippered pockets, on the back it has a strap to fit over the handle on a roller board (carryon suitcase.) On the ends it has water bottle pockets, one of which has a clasp for a flask with a handle if needed. In the inside there are accessory pockets at the front, and at the back there is a laptop sleeve with a file (or tablet) sleeve in front of it, with a large open space in between front and back. The top has flaps with a lengthwise center zipper close while the bottom is soft, without any kind of protruding feet. The shoulder strap is removable, lightweight, and has a meaningful over-the-shoulder pad. (Remember you can move the buckle to either side of the pad by rotating it 90 degrees and pushing it through the sleeve.) Collapsed it would fit inside the top of a carryon suitcase.Unlike the PU (polyurethane) leather(like) bags, this has a soft, polyester fabric finish, sturdy, but not stiff. While she has her choice of laptop and purse bags, this one is her preference and will go with her locally and to Hawaii quite soon. You might like it too, especially if you share her practicality and preparedness.

Note: My review is for the version of this bag with a polyester outside. Apparently that's not available anymore, which is a shame, but I'll review this polyester bag as I got it.This is a surprisingly great polyester bag with no faux leather, and at the price it was when I ordered ($43) I would say it's a great value. At almost $80 it's probably a much, but if it's what you need, it might be a good value.This bag is made from polyester, with no faux leather and no PVC to be seen. The polyester material it's made from is sewn well, with plenty of reinforcements among seams and no loose threads. The polyester is also treated with something making it water-resistant, so it's perfectly fine for liquids to get spilled on this bag and they won't have any negative effect on the fabric. Inside it's made with a different blend of polyester, which is softer, and has plenty of different pockets all over for anything you might want to store in it. It's got several handles, as well as metal hooks that let you connect the included shoulder strap and carry the bag over your shoulder. It stands up well, and the metal zippers are nice, too, plenty durable and easy to open and close.As for downsides, this whole bag is made of polyester, which might not fit everyone's style. However, I think the polyester looks nice, much more classy and functional than PVC, and it also works great as a general use bag.* I only review things that I personally use myself and keep using often.* I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review.* I will not hold back or avoid describing any issues I have with a product.* I write exactly what I think about things - the good, the bad, and everything in between.* If I get multiple of something it's because I regularly use and need both of them.* And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected.
