PLEASE PURCHASE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THIS BACKPACK! IF YOU CAN PURCHASE IT FROM ANOTHER VENDOR< PLEASE DO SO!THE ONLY REASON IM GIVING THIS BAG 3 STARS IS BECAUSE MY DAUGHTER LOVES IT EVEN THOUGH IT HAS NOT BEEN DURABLE. IF I HAD TO BASE THIS ON THE COMPANY, THEY WOULD GET 0 STARS!I purchased this for my 3rd grader who is in love with this backpack. the handle came apart just outside of 30 days. I purchased the extended warranty so i contacted asurion who directed me to the vendor, since it was still under manufacturer warranty. i contacted Rockland luggage using the contact # from asurion and they told me i had to email them. I emailed Rockland and when they got back to me they wanted to charge me 50% of the original purchase cost, saying that it was the "SHIPPING FEE." REALLY???? this backpack came apart after 30 days and you want to charge me 50% of the of the price and this is under warranty???? when i questioned them on it, they said they would only charge me $17 to replace it, which is STILL 36% of the original purchase price. HONESTLY, IF I COULD SWITCH TO ANOTHER VENDOR, I WOULD. ROCKLAND/FOX LUGGAGE DOES NOT HAVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNSAVORY BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!!DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T ORDER FROM ROCKLAND/FOX LUGGAGE.

I work at a hospital and the parking is a distance to walk before entering the hospital. Then there is a ways to walk to get to my assigned station. I float as a Case Manager so I have lots of tools I need for my job, besides my purse, lunch etc. I have a bad back and can not carry all the needed items so I decided to try a pack on wheels. I love it! It is large enough to put my big book of resources, purse, clip board, a pair of shoes for those snowy days, I put my lunch bag around the handle. It has skate wheels so it sounds like roller skates when wheeling it esp. outside, but they are made to last. I pull it through the snow covered streets. It has a hard plastic bottom so no worries about getting the bottom dirty. I think I've started a new trend. I see other people now pulling a bag on wheels instead of carrying those heavy bags. I got a black polka dot bag so it's cute as well. Love it!

2 way use best for me.

2.75 stars because the bag is not exactly horrible but is noticeably subpar. For a product with an MSRP of $120.00 I'd expect better workmanship. The stitching is questionable in more than a few places and I'm concerned that it will unravel sooner than later. Beyond that, I just received the bag and upon the first unzip to inspect the bag's interior, I could already feel 2 of the zippers "sticking" in a couple spots along each of their tracks; so I KNOW that will be a problem as well. The extending handle only locks into one height and isn't the most sturdy. But for now, I really needed this bag a month ago. Plus, I got it at a steep discount. So I'm going to keep it.The positives are that the bag is very spacious. It has a nice sized drop pocket placed strategically in front of a organization pocket that has room for writing implements, notecards, calculator, etc. There is a decently padded laptop section in the center of the bag. And, of course, a large compartment at the rear that can fit everything I need with room to spare.The straps are great because they are fairly easy to unlatch and tuck away--which keeps them from being in the way when I'm rolling the bag about. The pockets on the back of the bag that the straps tuck into, as well as the straps themselves, are lightly padded; making carrying the bag comfortable as long as the contents isn't overly heavy.The wheels seem good. They roll smoothly and quietly. The bag is easily maneuverable. And comes in nice vibrant colors.If you can get a good price on this bag, I'd recommend it. Otherwise, I'd say: If you can afford something more durable or with a better warranty, pass on this one.

My son rolled into his first day of school and his friends wanted to know where he got his backpack. I ask him everyday how it held up and does he still like it and he says he loves it. Its large for him because he's only in 3rd grade but that is exactly what we wanted this year. It is easy to use and the handle is so convenient. We are getting one for our next trip. I don't have to worry about him hurting his back with an actual backpack this year. I found nothing like this in any store. It is nice that it has the option to be carried as a backpack if need be. The shoulder straps tuck conveniently into their own pockets for kids like my son who are using it for the rolling option. I also love that the bottom where it meets the ground is hard plastic and is also very sturdy and easy to wipe off.

I bought it for our 8yr old 3rd grader and she loves it. Mega pockets, the wheels go up and down stairs with no problem. It's big enough for all her books, plus lunchbox, giant water bottle and a light weight jacket too! It's getting dinged up from the stairs but the hard plastic is totally taking it. no other rolling backpack had the hard plastic like this one and the wheels are on the side so it pulls easily.A previous review complained about the zippers breaking. Only one pull tab came of put it went back on easily then I squished the opening closed with pliers, so not a big deal there.

This was a waste of money! I ordered this rolling backpack to carry my laptop and small items for work. I thought it was cute, lightweigh , and I don't like bags on my back. After a week of using the bag, the adjustable handle broke into two pieces so now it doesn't function. I couldn't even tape/glue it back together. As a result I had to carry it on my back while wearing a suit and wheels are on my back as well. I've very disappointed!

On a recent flight, the strap on my backpack broke, so I decided to look for a rolling one. I like this one because it is roomy and easy to roll. Easy to spot!! Plus, when going through TSA, handle goes down easily to place on conveyer.
