Bought for the kids. software and hardware works great so far. laptop is a little bit thicker than the specs indicate. Just don't purchase directly from hp.com because they are won't allow cancelling a pre-order within 24 hours and will charge restocking fees for unopened products. Learned this the hard way.

The computer invoice slip indicated that someone needed to sign for the computer at delivery time. However, the computer was just left on my front porch. No signature. No notification of delivery. A friend later in the afternoon seen the package was sitting there and brought it in the house to me. It was zero degrees out. I was home all day with dogs. No rang the doorbell. Just the package sitting there was anyone to take. This is my 3rd HP Spectre - I love the machine. I am lucky someone else didn't end up with it.

I ordered this laptop in blue, and was sent a grey one. When engaging with customer service to try and rectify this, I got passed from pillar to post, and my issue never got resolved, and I simply had to give up with trying - this is a daft issue I know, but when spending this amount of money, I would like to get what I actually ordered.The laptop itself is brilliant; I can't fault it at all. The whole experience has just been tainted by poor customer service from Amazon.

Son is taking bio- medical engineering and high end laptops from other manufacturers were not recommended by his school for the programs that would be run . This laptop met all his requirements.
