I chose this system partly because it was a low end entry into the home security arena. We did not need a ton of bells and whistles, we just needed a functional system. But this system DOES have quite a bit of functionality when I started digging into it, and I have been impressed so far with its performance for the three months we have had it up and running so far.The final decision to choose this system was the reviews saying that Zosi's customers service was very good. Any system can have problems, how the company responds is key. Zosi did not disappoint. After a couple of weeks one of the cameras ended up failing. Zosi responded immediately to my request for assistance and shipped us a new camera to replace the defective one (thank you Helly!). I really do appreciate a company that will stand behind its product.

After doing a lot of research on comparable systems I ultimately ended up with this one.It comes with a 2TB hard drive, 8 cameras, a mouse and all the necessary cables for a complete install. The only issue I had with this unit is that it comes with (3) power supplies (one for the unit itself, then two for the cameras). The power supplies are cheaply made (one lasted a few hours, and the other power supply isn't looking stable). I replaced the stock OEM power supply with this:[UL Listed] Chanzon 12V 5A 60W AC DC Power Supply Adapter ( Input 110V-220V, Output 12 Volt 5 Amp 60 Watt ) DC Converter LED Driver Lighting Transformer for 12 V 5 A Flexible LED Tape Strip Lightand this,NeeKeons DC Female to Male Power Splitter Cable for CCTV (1 to8 2p)Even with the small upgrades such as the 5A power supply, you're still looking at great security system for ~$300. Add a monitor and battery backup and you're still under $500. No matter how you arrange it, this security system is a really great buy.Pros:Camera clarityNight visionEasy installationCons:Wires (not wireless)Faulty power supply

These are JUNK. Never has worked right. The DVR restarts its self over and over all day long. The app for the phone never connects. The PWR supply's fail within a week or two. The worst support i have ever dealt with. You cant call them so its all done through email from china. And all they do is suggest the same thing over and over like they don't even read what your telling them. I'm an IT administrator for a school district for over 15 years and deal with network problems,camera systems and phone problems like this on the daily so this is not a issue of a novice who isn't familiarwith these kind of things. The problem with these are the hardware is trash. Set them up right and get them to work and its just a matter of time and you will be doing it again over and over. Warranty HAHAHAHA on some documentation they say 1 year other places they say 2 year. I have ask for a replacement DVR with no luck of getting one. I understand you get what you pay for but in this case all your getting is a pile of BS and a horrible head ache.

Well this would be my 1st review I've done on a while. So here it is. Before purchasing this particular series I was actually going to buy another model. I changed my mind a week into research. Everything went fine from the time I ordered until it arrived. I have had my system for 2 days now so here's is where things get interesting. After work I stay up hooking up 3 cameras. Everything was fine and easy for the most part. Because this is my 1st security system I didn't expect it to have 2 types of cords for power. So when plugging things up have room to plug in the 2 plugs. Downloading the app was easy. The system itself is ok at being user friendly but could be better. Here's the issues I had and what happened the reason i still have 5 stars. The first oases I had was trying to access the menu section to see the setting, network menus as etc but kept getting this user name : admin password screen which I spent 2 days stuck watching videos and downloading software trying to access this screen. This time was only do long because I'm out the house 10hrs a day for work and have kids also. There's not much information out to help you. Well it didn't for me. And the 2nd problem was the live feed camera didn't show on my mobile. How I fixed both issues was emailing the company which I would have liked a number to call but it's ok for now. In less than am hour someone from the company was emailing me back after we I told them my issue which was the password issues the problem was fixed in no tome at all. Then immediately after we solved that problem the problem why I couldn't see the feed for my live cameras on my cell wad fixed as well due to my error on my end. All was solved in less than an hour today. That's why I gave 5 starts because reading other reviews I really thought this was going to be a long process ahs it wasn't. They help me out really quick and now im.up ahs ruining. If anyone is having an issue with not knowing the password To the dvr after it says admin there's an app you download to scan your dvr that will give you your password.. It's called SPD. I hope this helped someone. Need any additional help with this. If i can help I will.
