For a while now I've had the previous model of this before they added the buttons, and I've loved having this versatile little USB speaker around! It's especially handy with docking handheld PCs like a Steam Deck or ROG Ally since all of the docks lack any audio output (and none of my monitors have speakers). I don't want to have to plug in the 3.5mm audio jack into my desktop speakers every time I dock my Ally... I just want speakers that connect with the dock, and that's where USB speakers shine.Comparing to the previous model which was 6w and this one is, it sounds pretty much the same, with strong trebles and midrange without blowing out or resonating at annoying frequencies, and bass is of course not loud but it's at least present enough to not feel like you're just missing out on the whole lower spectrum. The only advantage of the 8w is it gets louder, quite a bit louder, and without distorting, but I wouldn't say it sounds any better, just louder.For the price, this little thing sounds great, whether it's this model or the previous one for a couple bucks cheaper. Both of mine are in regular use.Side note, this will work with almost anything you plug it into, even a smartphone or tablet, a great solution for lag free audio when Bluetooth lag is no good, such as with gaming.

I was having a hard tinme hearing in some of my meetings. I added this to my computer and it really helps. It was easy to set up - just plug it in and go! It's a nice size with a nice sound. I hooked it to my computer and put it under my extra monitor, the cord is long enough for that. Overall, I'd say the quality is decent for the price.

I realize that these are USB connected and so they’re not gonna be that powerful but they were really a disappointment to me. They actually do sound better than the speakers on my computer and they don’t hurt my ears as much, but it really does not get very loud. I wanted it so I could listen To movies and other things videos, etc. but really isn’t good for that. I’m going to see if I can exchange them with the ones I have at work. They are actually plug-in but they have more volume. I really wanted this to work because it’s really small and I don’t have a whole Lotta room the one other ones I have or a little bit bulkier and I don’t like the fact that I have to plug them into a Wildas socket cause I’ve got everything plugged into a wall socket but I have to be able to hear. You’re just using it for no mild conversations something that doesn’t have to be very loud. You’re gonna be sitting right in front of the computer. They’re probably fine for anything else you need a little for I would not recommend them.

Produit qui vaut la qualité/prix! Petit et compact, ne prends pas de place sous l'écran d'ordinateur. Le Son assez fort et adéquat pour la grosseur (on comprends que ce n'est pas la qualité d'un JBL ou Bose ) c'est très bien comme haut parleur de bureau. J'aime le fait que nous pouvons contrôler le volume avec les boutons sur le dessus. :)

Bought one & was totally happy with it so bought another. Very good sound quality, reliable, durable, well made, space saver size. Highly recommend.

Correction and upgraded review..... Sound is okay, looks fine, size is okay. I originally said "Volume and mute controls don't seem to work", but I have learned that I was too heavy handed. A VERY light finger touch does indeed work. I prefer a knob but this does work.

Plug & play

I bought this when a Chromebook I was using had its integrated soundbar suddenly stop functioning. This USB speaker fixed the problem. It's plug & play. Simple to operate. The sound quality is decent. I'm happy. No complaints after several months of use.
