Need to add an optical disk drive to your computer and want to add a couple 2.5" SSDs? Have a single 5.25" bay free? This is your Huckleberry. I'm using this with a pair of 4TB Samsung 870 EVOs and an LG BU40N and could not be happier.The Good:- 40mm, 3 pin is easily user replaceable. It's held in by 2 screws and you don't have to take things apart. If it's too loud you can replace the factory fan with a Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX in about 2 minutes.- Fan control switch lets you set he fan to High, Low or Off.- Makes better use of a single 5.25 bay.The Bad:- SAS support is single channel only.- 15mm SAS HDDs can run hot even with the fan set to High.- Fan connector does not have the clearance for the use of a 4 pin fan if you have a couple NF-A4x10 PWM fans laying around.The Meh:- Drive cages may not perfectly align SATA/SAS ports. Don't shove/force drives when installing them into the cage. Press gently until the eject lever starts to close, then use it to seat the rest of the way. You may need to wiggle things a little.- The strip of EVA foam to use a 9.5 mm drive ODD instead of a 12.7 mm drive is functional but feels chintzy.

About to Upgrade to GA-990FXA-UD5 (8 SATA) and install Windows 7 in a computer that only has 3 drive bays.I have another on of these that I've had for 5 yeas. The New one has cooling fans and does not need special connectors for the Slimm Optical Drive.

I have set up two of these now and am very happy with them.There can be some minor deviations in the unit's connections compared to the SSD so go easy when installing drives. There aren't rails which line the drives up perfectly. Push the drive in with a gentle fingertip -- if you have the right index (for the power and data ports) it will slide in and you can lock it.Highly recommend opening and closing the drive doors (reseating the drives) every few months. I have found that leaving them connected without reseating can result in a drive disappearing due to dust? corrosion? or ? on the port connections. Reseating them once in a while (when the unit is powered OFF) seems to prevent that.Also, you should use straight SATA connectors for the unit, not right angle. I wish they designed it so I could use right angle (easier to install) but not a huge critique.The unit fan has high/low settings. I wish it had a temp-dependent setting OR connected to one of the motherboard's fan connectors so it can flow variably. If you have a decent fan system in your PC case, keeping the raid unit fan on low is fine. It is noisy on high.Make sure to get the thicker optical drive unit (12mm?) Slim not ultra slim. The Ultra slim units are very fragile.100% happy with it, 4 stars because it could be a little better, but really 4.5 stars. Wishlist: Temp sensor fan, better located connectors, drive rails, but can 100% recommend.

5インチベイに1ODD＋2HDD（2.5'）のリムーバブルベイを備える本製品、同メーカのODD固定装着式製品（MB732SPO-B）とは約6,000円の価格差です。・筐体はしっかりしています。HDDベイはキャディ方式ですが、取付は皿ねじ＋　キャディ側にもこれに対応した窪みがあって、正確な位置出しが期待できるとおり、　届いた製品ではフィッティングは良好でした。　惜しむらくは、HDDベイにロックがかけられないこと。簡易式でいいから欲しかった。・ODDベイがフロントパネルから脱着可能な機構の方も、フィッティングは良好です。　ロック用のネジを緩めると、スプリングでドライブに取り付けたサイドバーが飛び出し、　脱着を可能にする仕掛けとなっています。　ただ、ネジが取り外せないので手回しネジへの換装ができず、スクリュードライバ必須です。・最後に掲題のコストパフォーマンスですが、接点が増えてしまうリスクも「ODDだし、　万一の認識不良時はドライブを取り出してUSB接続すれば原因切り分けできるから」　などと、ほとんど受容方針のリスク対応策を言い訳に、私はクリックしてしまいました。　ODD換装などライフで10回もないと思いますが、「マジンガーZ」世代には　このギミックは悪魔のささやきです。2024/02追記ODD固定式のモデルも考えましたが、キャディの形状が異なるので再度同じ製品を購入。前回は気づかなかった注意点を追記します。・HDD用トレイが再度に寄りすぎているので、取付ネジ穴が浅すぎる。　スライドマウンタのピンを引っ掛けて押し込むタイプのケースに装着しようとしたら、　ネジ穴の深さ不足で装着できませんでした。　ピンを切ってしまうと他のドライブマウント時に支障が出そうなほどなので、　ねじ止め式の別ケースに装着することになりましたが、ドライブベイ枠が薄いタイプなので　付属の3mmネジでも内部に飛び出してしまい、HDDが装填できませんでした。　2mmのネジは手元になく、とりあえずワッシャを入れて対処していますが、　HDD用両スロットを1mm程度中寄せすれば済むことなのに・・・と思います。

It’s not to run OS windows 10 on it. It has a build in raid in it, and it will corrupt your hard drive or SSD. It’s only for storage drives. I lost a new SSD that I bought and I had to get another one. They should give more detail on their product.

Aprovecha bien el espacio

Aprovecha bien el espacio pues puedes meter dos discos duros y una unidad DVD. Le doy 4 estrellas porque se requiere atornillar los discos, lo que hace poco ágil el cambio de discos.
