I bought this to use with a Lo-tech CF Lite Rev 2 ISA card in an old IBM XT compatible machine. This device allows Compact Flash cards to be used as fixed disks in very old computers. Compact Flash cards are pricey, so I saw this at a decent price and gave it a try.Overall it works fine. Initially I checked it in Windows and it showed up no problem. Then I partitioned and formatted it on the old PC and it works. I'm having some issues getting the machine to boot from it, however, if I boot from floppy this card is visible and works flawlessly. I suspect the boot issue is not the CF card, but, either way, booting from floppy is not the end of the world. As long as the CF card is usable, I'm happy.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Do not buy!Be careful - the speed of the drive is saying 60MB/s but in actuality it's less than 4MB/s. Another user reported the same as well. I noticed when I was formatting it in DOS and it took minutes(!) instead of a few seconds. It's crazy slow! I'm returning it.

I have a Fostex MR-8 that's about 20 years old, and the maximum capacity CF card it'll take is 2 gigabytes. So this card is as big as it'll get in terms of storage, but it works without a hitch. I've had card errors in this machine before, but thankfully that hasn't been the case this time. I've been able to record and play back projects, just as a fun experiment, trying to see how well I can apply what I know about recording now if I only had the tools available from the early 2000s. Thus far, the performance of this memory card has not gotten in the way of that fun.

Picked this up as an extra for camera, its getting hard to find things that work for my older camera these days. Works great and holds alot.

I got this for my old Canon 7D camera. It does its job and stores the photos and video on the card. These is no error or anything occurring on the camera for this card so it is fast enough to capture all the data. Considering this is a old camera I didn't want to get a high end card since it would likely not make a difference so the value of getting this card for my old camera is good.
