These slayed it in Ketchikan Alaska during the silver run. Higher catch rate than the people that weren't using them. We used them for surface trolling with a herring plug. This replaced the dodger. I did have a couple break/pull through the metal hole. But otherwise the clips were sturdy enough and the light lasted the whole week trip.

9/5/24I bought 10 of these less than a year ago. They seemed fantastic. As I got the remaining 8 out of the drawer today to do some fall night fishing I discovered none of them worked. They're all dead. Apparently they have very limited shelf life. They are good if you use them right way, otherwise avoid. They have no printed expiration date so there is no way to know if they are fresh or not.Original review:The little lights are bright and long lasting. These seem to be improved or different from the ones we bought last year in that they stop blinking almost immediately when they come out of the (ocean) water and we don't have to be super careful to dry them off. Previously we had to wipe and air dry them for a day before storage or they would start blinking again and run down the battery.

Works awesome! Added a treble hook to it, and hammered 'em. So much less expensive than pre-packaged lures like that, and work just as good, if not better.

This is an item that I use all the time when fishing in the deep waters (600'+). It seems to make a difference when I use it to catch snappers. Highly recommended from me.

These work ok but my subjective opinion is they are not very bright. I’ve used them a couple of times fishing for Coho salmon. Didn’t seem to make a difference. However, I have a bunch of flashers and didn’t want to invest $ for flashers with built-in lights.
