I love this little telescopic rod. I have wanted to keep a portable fishing rig in the back of my car for the longest time but felt that a standard fresh water rod would be too long. This rod is definitely the solution. Its lightweight and the cork handle makes it comfortable to hold. I love that the whole thing retracts to make it compact. The quality is very good for the price. I ordered a small reel and my choice of line and now I’m all set. I keep a small box of light tackle with my new setup for those quick fishing trips. Now if I run across an interesting fishing hole, I’m ready. This would also make an excellent choice for a child. Also, note that in my photo the rod has a reel and line that I purchased separately. I just wanted to show what it looks like when it’s complete.

This is small for sure. You could probably fit this in a large pocket. You can attach a reel with the screw on tension wheels, which definitely bent to accommodate the reel a put on but haven't broken yet. The handle is a cork screw-like material which is soft and comfy to grip and give a bit of friction to hold onto the pole well. The pole itself is lightweight and doesn't lock into place super consistently. It's really cute and convenient for traveling, dock or boat fishing, but with the expectation of then catching small fish because I don't see this holding up to much weight.
