On paper, this is a pretty solid assortment of split shot weights. You get a bunch of sizes, plenty to cover everything from panfish to bass and trout, and enough pieces that you’re not crying every time one disappears into the abyss of the lake. For stocking the tackle box, these do the job just fine.Now… let’s talk about the word “removable.” That’s doing some heavy lifting here. Once you pinch these onto your line, they decide they live there now. There’s no nice little bird-mouth slot on the back to reopen them. So if you change your mind, you’re stuck doing the caveman method: prying, twisting, or squishing them sideways like you’re trying to negotiate with a tiny piece of lead. It works, but it’s not graceful, and it’s not quick.They hold well, maybe too well. Great for staying put, not so great when you want to adjust depth without feeling like you’re disarming a bomb on your fishing line.Bottom line: good variety, solid grip, fair value — but don’t buy these thinking you’ll be casually removing and reusing them all day. These split shots commit to the relationship once they’re on your line.

I picked up this 200 piece set for my son because he is constantly losing his gear and always seems to be in need of more sinkers. As an added bonus, the brand name happens to be Caleb, which is also his name. He thought it was hilarious to have a box of fishing weights that looked like a custom branded gift just for him.The set comes with five different sizes neatly organized in a little plastic case, so he can actually find what he needs without digging through the bottom of his tackle box. Each size is in its own little bag within the compartments, which is a nice touch to keep them from getting jumbled up during a bumpy boat ride.They are made of soft lead and have a deep enough groove that they stay put once you crimp them onto the line. They are easy enough for him to handle by himself, and they sink quickly which is exactly what we need for the panfish and bass we usually go after. It is a simple, effective set that made a boring necessity a lot more fun for him.

Easy to use real heavy split shot like from when you were a kid. Tons of sizes and uses. Super easy to take on and off. These are a no brainer for all kinds of fisherman and a HUGE bargain to boot. 20 stars.

They don't have the ability to be reopened like some do.For the price you can't beat the amount that you get.Once they are on your line they stay put after properly crimping them into place. Definitely worth the money.The variety of sizes also comes in handy although there is not a big difference between each one as far as weight.They also come in an individual Ziplock bags in each compartment which helps keep them separated nicely.
