I think these fall more firmly into the snack than meal category unless you have a very small appetite, which obviously, I don’t!! You boil them first, drain the water away and then mix in the seasoning. This gives a more intense flavor. To prepare, boil noodles in 400ml water for 3 minutes. Drain. Add sachet contents. Stir and enjoy! You get a dry powder base sachet along with the standard mi goreng triple wet sachet – seasoned oil, sweet chili sauce, and sweet soy sauce. The portion is not overwhelming, and it’s ultra rich, sweet and savory, and a touch spicy. Noodles come out with just a slight fluff to them which was very good. The sweet, spicy, salty and oily elements are all there in perfect balance. The most popular add-on to this dish is a fried egg. Mixing the yolk into the noodles makes it even richer and slick on the palate. (You can also poach an egg as you cook the noodles in boiling water, but fried eggs are more texturally interesting.) From there, you might consider adding chopped sausage or crunchy diced vegetables (choy sum, tomato, fried shallots).

So there's 20 of these, and they come in 4 sets that have 5 blocks each. They look like diaper bags in the box they arrived in, not gonna lie! :D Each ramen block is also individually wrapped, with the topping-packets inside. So there's a lotta plastic wrapping involved! Bonus, that means they're very shelf-stable.The instructions are nice and clear - boil ramen block with rather a lot of water in microwave for 3 minutes, drain the water, then put on the toppings! There are 2 separate tiny bags in the ramen bag, atop the block of actual noodles, and you have to take them out before cooking the noodles in the water. One is a silver packet split into two pockets, the smaller, lumpier one holding the crunchy onion topping, and the larger, smoother bag containing a combination of salt, pepper, and spices. The other bag is clear, with pink and brown liquid that might have been soy sauce at some point. It didn't taste right to me, that part may have expired. None of the toppings-packets had expiry dates on them, so I can't know for sure. :/ At least it IS super easy to leave out any part you don't want to use for your own serving.As far as spice level goes, I'd it's about a 1 - definitely present, but won't make your eyes burn. Unless you prefer to avoid ANY spice, and if so, you'll want to leave the toppings off. There are infinite ways to mix up ramen, adding and subtracting ingredients, and this collection of 20, with the above-and-beyond inclusion of the spice packets, is a great place to start!TLDR - they're really tasty, you get a big bunch of em, and they come with these sauce and spice packets that elevate em above standard Ramen!

The ad says “Hand-kneaded TEXTURED Thick & bouncy noodles.” Lie. That’s what you see on the photos, too. Lie. What you get is standard, everyday, thin round ramen. And you get a little packet of hot chili oil and two little packets of flavoring, and the result, again, does NOT look like the sauce in the photos. The flavoring isn’t all that special. The ramen is like most other ramen noodles. Maybe a little thinner. I can buy top ramen in the same quantities for less than half as much per packet.
