This was a gift for my nephew and his new bride. I haven't personally used the pots and pans, but they love them. Their happiness with the pans have convinced me to give this product line a try when I need to replace my current cookware.

The best cookware I’ve ever owned, better than Cuisinart!! The ultimate test was cooking an egg, no matter what I could never get it to cook right without sticking to the pan with every other product, this product WINS because the heating distribution is spot on and food does not stick! All sizes are perfect for various amounts of cooking, and they aren’t heavy at all! I’ve had the set for over 2 months and followed recommend cleaning tips by other reviewers and it’s still cooking food like brand new!! True to description and performance as they look amazing and are easy to clean!! Will keep with this brand probably for life as long as they don’t change the way they make it!

If you're not a world-class chef (I certainly am not), you really don't need to spend a thousand dollars on a giant pile of professional-grade cookware much of which you're really never going to use. We purchased this Sur La Table set primarily because we wanted to move to fully non-toxic cookware. This replaced a large set of very high-quality Analon cookware (which is also pretty non-toxic so long as you don't scratch the surface). The problem with the Analon set was that we simply had too many cookware items. Double boiler? Yep, never used it. The large skillet? Lovely but so heavy it required two hands to lift. And the non-stick surface loses its non-stickiness pretty quickly. Ended up giving the entire set away. Purchased this Sur La Table set because (1) it has all the cookware I actually use; (2) it's stainless steel and therefore non-toxic; and (3) each pot and pan is light enough to easily handle on the stove top. I have an 8" All Clad skillet which is 5-ply stainless versus this set's 3-ply construction. The All Clad is of course excellent quality and heavier than the 8" skillet in this set, however, cooking-wise, they seem to work pretty much identically. The Sur La Table pieces are beautifully crafted and the glass lids fit perfectly. Like all stainless regardless of price, these pots and pans will immediately discolor after cooking followed by a subsequent normal hand washing (I prefer not to use the dishwasher even though these are noted as dishwasher safe). Get yourself some Barkeeper's Friend cleaner and periodically clean your pots and pans with it. This will bring the cooking surfaces back to original appearance instantly. And of course don't use metal utensils (I prefer wood but silicone works well too). If you're a regular Jane or Joe cook, who wants a well-crafted, high-quality stainless steel cookware set that is affordably priced and has all the pots and pans you actually need, this is the set for you.

I thought I was buying a good-quality set of cookware. Boy was I ever wrong. The first warning sign was how lightweight everything was. These pans scorch like I never thought pans could scorch, and they are so light it's impossible to simmer anything. The instructions mention needing to clean scorches with baking soda, which is absurd. For the price, they shouldn't scorch in the first place. (I did find that over time, trips though the dishwasher helped with a fair amount of scorch marks.) I replaced them quickly. Just don't waste your money. This is the worst cookware I've ever encountered, and I've used both cheap and high-end.

We were looking for a stainless steel pan set and I'm way too excited about this! These pans have been wonderful. They're so easy to clean, cook on and are a great amount of money. These pans are such great quality and I genuinely feel safer cooking on them. Would highly recommend.
