I had great plans for using this when I ordered it. I really wanted it to be able to do country fries. However, we suddenly went from a household of 8 to just 2 so it is now easier to chop things myself than to pull this out to use and clean it. If you chop and dice a lot and cook larger quantities, then this may be helpful. If you don’t, you might find it sitting on a shelf for long periods.

This chopper is a time saver! If you have enough to make it worth cleaning. It's not that it's real difficult to clean, but if you're needing one onion chopped, it really isn't worth the effort.This diced up 2 pounds of slightly thawed frozen strawberries in probably less than a minute. They are nice, uniform pieces.When dicing, it always leaves a layer on top of the chopping grid. With these strawberries, it's easy to just push them a bit with you fingers and push them on through. Something harder like onions are a little more difficult. It does not work well at all on something real soft like tomatoes. Harder things also are more difficult to clean out of the grid as they stick in it - I've had to use a pick to push individual holes clean.Overall, cleanup is pretty easy. There is an unnecessary very small area by the chute on the bottom of the lid where food gets stuck in and can be difficult to clean.There are a couple more blades I didn't show that slice and julienne. The slicing blade worked great on apples. I haven't tried the julienne blade.Overall, a huge time saver when you have a lot to slice or dice.

This vegetable slicer is a great addition to your kitchen. It is well made with a very solid and heavy feeling. It has an assortment of blades that are all very sharp (be careful!). It assembles easily and also is very easy to clean after you are done. It can slice, dice, chop and julienne. I especially like how it can dice potatoes into country fries. It makes your cooking tasks go so much faster and also allows you to make large meals easily.
