I bought this to use with my sump pump, which will be an infrequent use, which I why I didn't need a heavy duty hose, although this hose appears to be sufficiently durable for frequent use.It is moderately heavy but not unlike other hoses of this construction and material. It DOES kink if forced, but the kinks are easily removed and don't cause a permanent restriction. The connectors on each end are sufficient, although I would not characterize them as "heavy duty".Again, I purchased this hose for lightweight, occasional duty. Therefore, I cannot comment on its long-term use. I am happy with it for the purpose I intend to use it for.

I bought this Flexon Reinforced Garden Hose (FR5825) primarily because of the low price and the "reinforced" claim on the packaging. While it works fine for basic, light-duty tasks, I’ve been pretty disappointed with how it holds up over time.The GoodPrice: It’s definitely one of the most affordable options out there. If you just need a short 25ft hose for a quick project, the initial investment is minimal.Lightweight: Because it's a 3-ply vinyl hose, it’s very easy to carry around the yard compared to heavy rubber hoses.The Reality Check (Durability Issues)Despite being labeled as "reinforced," this hose feels quite thin and didn't last nearly as long as I expected.Kinking: It kinks almost immediately. Once a kink happens, the material seems to "remember" that spot, making it a constant struggle to keep the water flowing.Sun Sensitivity: If you leave this out in the sun at all, the vinyl gets very stiff and eventually starts to crack. It’s definitely not a "leave it on the reel" type of hose.Fitting Leaks: After only a few months of light use, the connection at the spigot started to spray. Even with a fresh washer, the coupling just doesn't feel as secure as it did on day one.Final Verdict: This is strictly a light-duty hose. If you plan on using it every day or leaving it outdoors, you’ll likely be replacing it by next season. It’s okay for a backup or a very occasional-use hose, but if you want something that lasts, I’d recommend spending a bit more on a higher-grade rubber model.
