I was very much hoping for the best with this reel — the concept is spot on, but the quality just isn’t there. I rarely leave reviews, but this one deserves a warning label. Out of the box, the plastic housing had odd stains/marks that looked like sloppy manufacturing.Installation was frustrating. My faucet is in the garage, so I had to mount into a stud. The bracket design doesn’t accommodate a standard 2x4 surface, and the drywall anchors included were useless. That meant an unnecessary hardware store trip to buy anchors that could actually suck the mount right up against the drywall and support the weight. To make matters worse, mine didn’t even include the rubber seals for the faucet connection, so I had to go back again before I could even use it.Once installed, the flaws kept adding up. The hose diameter is noticeably smaller than a typical garden hose from Home Depot, and the included nozzle is very poor quality. The rubber ring around the spray selector is already falling off and it leaks badly. Sure, I could replace it for $15 at Home Depot, but for $150, I shouldn’t need to replace anything out of the box.Worst of all, the retracting feature is unreliable. Sometimes it reels in smoothly, but other times it jams halfway and has to be tugged and hand-fed back in. For the price, this should have been a reliable, plug-and-play upgrade. Instead, it’s been nothing but frustration.

This was a great purchase for us. It was easy to install and mount and is good quality. Definitely helps to not have a mess with a coiled-up hose laying around. It looks nice and neat attached to the side of the house. The hose nozzle has many settings, and it retracts with ease. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice functioning outdoor hose.

Installation was very easy, hangs on the stucco very well and solid. Wasn’t able to get a stud but the anchors hold it very strongly. I caulked inside and around the holes to keep any moisture out. Filled the line, no leaks, the reel works very well as well as the nozzle head. Only reason for giving 4 stars was due to the rubber damage on the spray nozzle head.
