Item arrived in a fairly small box and is vacuum sealed. Once you open the packaging it will expand to full size. You do have to be careful because you need scissors or a box cutter to open the packaging and you do not want to cut the pillow. There is a significant lack of instructions. The pillow has some velcro straps and several components. It is not hard to figure out how it goes together but some sort of instructions as well as some pictures of some recommended configurations would have been nice.

I absolutely love this 5PCS Reading Pillow! I haven't tried this pillow in different positions, but the upright position is great. It gives my back and neck the support I need when sitting up in bed compared to my old regular support pillow with arms. The pillow once expanded is nice and firm. My only complaints are that the lumbar pillow is smaller than I would like, I wish the velcro arms stayed attached better as they splay out some if I move, and I wish it were easier to store. It is on the bulkier side, which is great for the firmness and support needed, but not when it comes to moving it from place to place and storing. All in all those are little inconvineces that I can deal with and figure out fixes for. I would purchase again and I would recommend to others as well.

This "Origami" design is very flexible and supports both being a simple wedge (think - GERD or reflex treatment), and reading/TV support. It is not well documented for assembly, and requires a little thought to attach all of the Velcro-like straps.The overall width is a little narrow, but the Velcro-type attachment and fabric can stretch a bit (see pix) to accommodate somewhat larger folks. The Velcro-style attachments are not obtrusive and may be a little on the flimsy side, but does stay attached. However, there is a large amount slack between the side/arm support and back support (see pix) and permits the side pieces to angle out to a great degree - only then restrained by the outer fabric stretching out. I hope it lasts for a while without ripping the fabric as it is not very heavy duty but is nice and soft!). From the pix, you can see that the fabric is so soft that it does not support itself and barely make the side pockets useable - IMHO.The inner foam composition is very good and does not collapse easily, i.e. provides very good support. The amount of support is surprising, given that it is vacuum packed and fits into an incredibly small package! The instructions (very limited) state that you should wait for 24 to 48 hours for full expansion and fully release any scent. I did not find this necessary, and could use it after 12 hours without any issues.All parts are zipper accessible to remove the foam padding to be able to wash the fabric, except for lumbar support which is sewn closed and does not appear to have the same inner foam support, i.e. it s much softer.However, as a wedge, the neck piece has no Velcro-like material to anchor it, and the amount of Velcro-like material to hold the "arms" in place is negligible and therefore anchors very poorly. It almost seems like the "wedge" concept might have been an afterthought.In summary, a very nice and versatile pillow and is recommended (for now) as a wedge (at least if you do not need the neck piece and the arms securely anchored), but not very comfortable for reading as it is in my opinion, much too vertical. It needs to be angled back slightly. I am not sure how well the thin/soft fabric will hold up.
