Mounting it was not easy. Had to replace the cheap mounting bracket for a better one with better screws.SD card inserted, and it DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY RECORD. Kinda dumb not to have this feature. You have to open the app to manually record.You can't dim the lights. I hoped you could do this, but it's bright and there's only the one brightness level.You cannot create activity zones. I kinda hoped this would have been available, bit it's not.For our family, it works, but it's not that "smart".

Update** I called their customer service who verified the camera does not automatically record when motion is detected. It doesTrigger an alert to the phone, and you can see it live. But if you miss the alert or it’s in the middle of the night, then you don’t see what it was. I’m bummed that it’s not a functionality. Everything else with the camera is great.I am having the same concerns as the user for the first review. So far no alert indicating motion was detected. The only recording was thru manual push of a button on the app. Going to purchase SD card to see if that triggers an auto record on motion. But there were no settings to turn on for auto record so it’s possible that is not a functionality. I was very excited after installing the first one, but if it doesn’t auto record that defeats the purpose of catching things. The quality is decent, app pairing may not be so easy for a non tech savvy person but the instructions were clear.

Purchased this product and after 1 year and 3 months, the one led panel burnt out. Contacted the manufacturer but cannot provide replacement due to logistical issues. Would not purchase again and have to replace yearly…

Poor connection to WIFI and light stopped working after one year.

I purchased two units for my garage. The connection to my WIFI was always very intermittent but the system more or less worked. After about one year the LED lights failed. I have since replaced the units.

The mount design is a rigid screw on a plate that screws into the electrical fixture on the exterior. Then you slide the unit over the screw and a female screw hole screw slides in to secure the unit. Trying to do all this upside down with an electrical box with stucco over it means that there is 0 margin for error. A little too thick of stucco or an electrical box set too far in and you have to loosen the screws that attach the plate to the box and every time you put the unit on, the main screw gets pushed too far up for the female screw to reach, so you just sit there - upside down - screwing for hours - AND every time you go to check, the female screw falls into the grass and you have to find it.All they had to do was give one long screw for the center and make the female screw hole on the plate. Then you could just run the screw through and find the hole and you are done.... thats how literally every other manufacturer does it...This is an awful product. Oh and it needs a neutral line, most outside security boxes do not have a neutral.

Love this! Works great for our needs. Light is bright. SD cards is a great choice to store videos/images. Does take a moment to connect when trying to access motion alerts. Junction box at my house had to be changed because the camera only mounts 1 way and our junction box was the opposite way. But no big deal to change out.
