I have been enjoying this unit. I got the 32 GB RAM and 1TB. But tonight, I noticed a fan making a noise from not spinning, and I had heard it but thought it was from an old tower. Sadly, it’s the only fan in this unit, and it was super hot. Luckily, I have a cooling pad I can put on to tell I have time to look at it.Great other than a fault fan. I have never had newer fans on a PC or laptop fail so quickly after less then 45 days.I would have rated it five stars, but with a fan less than two months old, I have to rate it three stars.

We build routers, failover bonds, controllers, and more for tower sites. We usually have to make our own equipment from scratch. Since towers are DC powered, often on solar, we have limited options in the x86 space. With this box, we're able to replace a core router, a failover bond, a managed switch, and a monitoring system all with one very small box. This is an excellent machine for our purposes. Running the OS and mostly idling, it uses about 13w. During high CPU, LAN, and m.2 usage while also powering an external monitor from the USB port, the most we hit is 35w! Of course the power budget doesn't immediately include the SFP+ modules. Attempting to stress the CPU with the machine running headless, we still only peak at about 18w.I haven't opened it up to see if there's a little wizard inside running it or if parts are held together with chewing gum, but I'm so far very pleased with this machine and will be buying many more.I do wish it came with a printed datasheet, and unfortunately I can't seem to find model-specific information on the website. The information on the Amazon page is enough for me.

Purchased barebones, added RAM, SSD then installed OpenWRT successfully. The default in my case is one 10G SFP+ port is WAN, the other 10G SFP+ port is LAN. There are 4 ethernet (copper) port at 2.5Gbit speed. I now use the full speed from my ISP, 2.5Gb/s download and using the 10G LAN SFP+ on a separate switch. The fan was noisy at first but now don't notice as much. Just give it space to exhaust the heat it stays cool. Using OpenWRT any port is configurable to your situation.I also like that it has a USBC 10G speed for my JBOD. There is also a USB3 for my second JBOD. I getting 900Mbits uploading to disk on my LAN similar downloading (850Mbits) with USBC.To avoid accupying one of the 2.5G ethernet connection to your modem, the icing on the cake is put in between your modem and this router a "10G fiber to 2.5G" adapter to get the full bandwidth out of the 2.5Gb modem speed.Important Update Nov 2025, this network device has 2 fans, a ~1.5" fan for the SFP+ ports and a ~2.5" on the CPU. As described by another review, the 2.5" fan started making noises. It would spin up then stop spinning then again 30 seconds later. See the pic of the replacement fan you will need to replace to fix this network device. I'm still happy how the device works, just another issue to replace a fan.I tried swapping the NVME drive with a duplicate device and it would not boot Openwrt. So that forced me to immediately investigate the fan issue. The fan is a MIKO-FAN MODEL MD7508HS DC12V 0.30A, the fan manufacture has a "dotcom" have a website.

I previously had a similar Atom based mini pc I used as an Opnsense router which unfortunately died randomly one day. I wanted to get a replacement and settled on this one since it had multiple 2.5g ports and 4 SFP+ slots.Setup was extremely easy and I had opnsense running in about 15 minutes. Even though the Atom in the previous was plenty powerful to handle whatever a router needed, I very much notice a bump in performance clicking around the web Interface with the newer N100 in this one. This thing also boots up extremely fast; if I need to reset the router it probably takes a max of 2 min to come back up (I had a previously Zyxel VPN router which could take upwards of 7-8 minutes if it needed rebooted so the quick startup is very nice).Given the limited scope of what I'm using this box for, I probably won't need to think about getting anything newer for 10 years.The only thing I don't like is this unit has a fan which is a bit noisy. It's not super noisy that it's a bother, but I wasn't able to find a similar unit that is passively cooled like my previous mini PC. This is a minor complaint though and overall I'm very happy.

Ordered this unit, 4 NICs + 2 SFP ports. When I received it, I noticed that the wrong expansion card was installed giving the unit a total of 8 NICs and no SFP ports. When I reached out to CWWK, I suggested, rather than returning the whole computer, if they could just send me the correct expansion card with the matching back plate, then we'd be square. A week later and the SFP card and back plate arrived. I admit, I haven't powered the unit on yet as I'm still waiting on my Intel Optane chip to arrive to load OPNSense onto it and migrate my existing router over to this new unit, but so far I'm very happy with CWWK's responsiveness. I'll update my review if anything else comes up. Otherwise, no news is good news.
