This little number pad is perfect for the price. It is nice and clicky similar to a gaming mechanical keyboard, so it won't work well in a quiet environment. That did not bother me. The keys are exactly where I'd expect them to be and as someone who has learned 10-key typing, it is an asset to have even if I am not working. It is easy to maintain your normal typing speed (if you are used to 10-key typing) because of the familiar key set. There are additional keys along the top to make up for some missing keys, as well as volume control which my laptop does not have. I like the black with the RGB, I do kind of wish I could change the colors but the gradient they have is pretty great.

Solid Mechanical numpad!

It's exactly what I was looking for, a cheap numpad with mechanical switches. The switches feel nice and clicky, and it has all the buttons I need. The RGB leaves a bit to be desired, but that's not why I bought it. Overall, it serves it's purpose and then some. Would recommend!

I’m fine with my MacBook Pro’s keyboard. While it doesn’t have mechanical switches, I type well on it. But I find a numeric keypad to be very useful when I’m home. Typing more than a couple of digits using the top row of keys is not fun. If there’s extensive numeric input like in a spreadsheet, it’s downright miserable. Looked around long and hard before finding this keypad. It seems to tick almost all the boxes for me.Classic tall keycaps and mechanical switches make it comfortable to use. I like that the keycaps are PBT, more durable than the ABS Apple uses on their keyboards. There’s good tactile and audio feedback for keypresses, although blue switches can be a little too clicky and noisy. I would have preferred brown switches. Great to have a complete navigation cluster with an inverted-T cursor pad and all the home/end/pageup/pagedown keys in their usual positions so they’re very easy to find and use by feel alone, something missing from most numeric keypads. The detachable USB cable is good for portability, since there’s less chance of damaging the cable if it’s detached, but I never actually take this anywhere. Corded rather than Bluetooth is great since I don’t want to have to worry about another peripheral to charge. Since this supplements rather than replaces the MacBook keyboard, I still have immediate access to the Touch ID power button for high security with instant unlocking on wake.There are a few things I’m not thrilled with. The printscreen/scroll lock/pause keys are virtually useless for people who don’t do coding. As a Mac user, I would have preferred F13 through F15 function keys, but even average PC users would have no use at all for the keys as included. Likewise, the media keys are an unnecessary duplication of what’s already on the keyboard. I’m looking into software like BetterTouchTool or Karabiner-Elements to let me reassign all those keys to useful functions, like cut/copy/paste. The LED backlighting helps in a dark room, but just plain white would have been better instead of the fixed rainbow color scheme. The blue row is dimmer than the rest, so it’s harder to see. Took me a few minutes to find the stable lighting mode without the annoying flashing or pulsating animated effects. The volume keys are inexplicably reversed, so it’s louder-softer-mute rather than the logical mute-softer-louder on regular keyboards. I would have liked a little nub on the 5 key to let me know I’m on the home row just by feel alone.
