Works as advertised. Front panel display is nice and cycles through all the parameters as configured. Panel screws on instead of using clips that constantly let go like several other brand rackmount UPSs I've had. Available software has networking capabilities. Use of a standard device USB cable is nice. Ethernet card is available but not included.I was surprised that a rackmount kit wasn't included for the price, there were no slide mounting holes. The rack ears were not impressive and I didn't trust them to carry the weight on a 2U high unit that is loaded with lead gel batteries.. I used some L-brackets that span the vertical mounting rails from front to back, slid it in and screwed the panel tight.

This unit replaced a prior unit whose batteries were shot. (Side note, have found cost of replacing batteries is often close to or more than replacing old units.) This supports two medium sized Dell rack servers and a small tower server with no issues. This is really for a commercial setup. Too big and heavy for a home PC. I love TrippLite products based on performance per dollar spent.

The thing about a UPS is that you don't ever need one until you really, really need one. I purchased this UPS in 2016 and have never been able to get it to work. Basically, the moment it loses power the unit just shuts off and all the items relying on it lose power as well. Even better, when the power comes back it doesn't turn itself back on - requiring you to walk to the unit and power it on again.The perfect UPS would be one that you could just plug in and forget about - but every time my house has a flicker of a power issue - I find myself walking back to the server rack. So why did I take so long to write this review? Well, I've always had a plan to sit down and actually troubleshoot the device one of these days. Generally after a power outage I have more important things on my mind and I just didn't prioritize this thing. Tonight we had a 20 second brown out, and I finally had enough - and went through the manual and troubleshooting steps to try getting this thing working. Even without a load this UPS will not stay on after power is disconnected.This review may seem harsh, and you might be inclined to say "try another unit" - but the fact of the matter is that a UPS is not the same as a PC or a camera - a UPS is something that you rely on when other things are failing. This is something you need to know will be working when you actually need it - and I just can't recommend something like this that will fail so consitently.
