Haven't tried it yet but does not work as a plug and play even in the mic ports of a computer for example seems only to work on headsets with removable mics

Rubbish. I bought these to replace the stock one that kept falling down. I was hoping that these would stay up better, just to find they share the same problem. If you want a better solution to the limitations of the stock mic, this is not what you want.
