Good DVD player substitute for a smart TV.. I was able to connect it to my wireless internet to access my Amazon Prime as well as netflix. etc. My only complaint is that you have to download the manual from the internet and print it out yourself. Why not just give you a copy in the package? You definitely need to read the instructions before using this...there are not many instructions on screen. I couldn't figure out out to update the software, and then I read the instructions and it said you could push the unlabeled blue button on the remote. Also, I couldn't shut the thing off, and then read that you have to take the disc out first. You also can't have a disc in the machine when you update and you cannot touch any buttons on the remote or it cancels the update. Also you need the instructions to enable the remote to turn on the TV and adjust the volume. I might add that this player was not compatible with my old (very old) led TV, and I ended up having to buy a new TV as well. If I had it to do all over, I would have sent this back and just bought a smart TV to begin with, but I was determined to make this work!! the quality is very good and hopefully it will last me a while.

This is a awesome bluray player for the price it is easy to operate and it works on all the streaming apps like Hulu and Netflix. I have played several bluray disk and they play fantastic all the high End bluray audio sound fields work great like Dolby True HD Dts HD Master and pcm uncompressed the remote is very easy to use. I Like the pic modes this is a incredible bluray for the price it is worth the money.this is 3d also

It remembers where I left off watching a DVD and resumes at that point. The previous one I purchased didn't do that. The setup seems like it could use simpler defaults for internet connection, but after finding the manual online, I got it going. Picture quality good, remote is easier to deal with than many over featured ones.

Nope, not pleased with this purchase. It constantly freezes, especially when using Netflix. It drives me crazy! I have to physically unplug it in order to reboot it. When it freezes, I can't even manually turn it off, let alone anything else. Odd though because I am generally a big fan of LG products.I absolutely would not recommend this product. Especially when there are other options out there that are more economical.
