This calculator is exactly what I needed. I had to take a test at a facility that required a non-scientific calculator. This fit the bill. Did all the basic calculations I asked it to with no problem.This would be a great tool for someone in my same circumstance or someone still learning basic math skills.

This is my Amazon Vine review for the Calculator 12 Digit Office Calculators with Large LCD Display, Dual Solar Power and Battery Large Button Calculator Financial Office School.This is a nice medium sized basic calculator that is priced at $4.99. I definitely like the value for the price because this calculator is solar powered, medium sized so it not a strain to view, and the numbers and display are large and easily readable.It is powered by AA batteries if you want something other than solar power. It powers off when not in use to preserve solar power. I would place this calculator near a window to get indirect sunlight but not direct sunlight that could cause it to overheat. I have had solar powered calculators that lasted many years. They are really nice. That is the reason I ordered this one.The calculations I entered to check its basic function were correct, and I could easily read them. I taught high school math and middle school math for years, and this is a nice basic calculator.I used to tell all my students to do the math in their heads and on paper including reverse checking their results on paper. I held afterschool Cafe’s as a fun way to help students and their parents with concepts we were learning for the month. That earned me a surprise community dedication plaque from the parents and students one year. It was an honor.Mental math keeps the mind sharp. It is fun, and math is a universal means of communication understood across cultures. We use it every day from commuting to work or school to simply preparing a meal.Only when my students demonstrated basic mental math proficiency skills was it okay to check their results with a calculator. This calculator is a good aid in developing and maintaining basic skills. Thanks, Amazon.

Great inexpensive calculator. I needed a calculator for a class that I'm taking and will also need it for a state test, so phones aren't allowed. I was looking for one that operates by solar and battery. To run it without the battery, there must be a light on. I thought at first it wasn't working by solar but it's because I was in a room in the daytime but with no light on. As soon as I turned on a light, it worked. I like that the number buttons are nice and big. This is a simple calculator and easy to use.

This is a handy multi-function calculator to have on your desk for quick calculations when paying bills. And the display easily handles 12-digits - handy if you happen to be a trillionaire! The size is perfect with large keys that make it highly functional and easy to use! It's conveniently powered by a tiny solar panel on the face making it usable in lighted environments, but it also accepts a single AA battery in the back which was a surprise - providing added functionality in very low light situations and works well with or without it. Durable construction and an attractive price make this a great value for the money. Glad I ordered it.
