I bought one of these to extend a 1/4" guitar cable, it was more expensive than others, and big surprise when I received it, it was 4" long and approx. 3/4" in diameter. I also bought a pair of female-to-female mono adapters from Ancable as a backup in case I didn't like the D'Addario adapter (which is stereo, even though I only needed mono) 'just in case'.What concerned me most was getting an adapter that the 1/4" plugs would not easily be accidentally dislodged. Shortly after buying these, I also bought a pair made by Cable Matters, which I've had good luck with their HDMI cables.Of the three, the D'Addario adapter retained the connectors the best when simulating having the cable accidentally pulled on, the Ancables were not as good, but I retained them for my collection of adapters, and the Cable Matters adapters pulled apart far too easily - they seemed okay for the first couple insertion-extraction cycles, but became noticeably easier to dislodge in about 5-6 cycles (to my surprise) so they're being returned.The one star off for the D'Addario adapters' higher price, and even though the best of the three, I think their retention could be better.

Muy buen adaptador. He tenido de varias marcas y todas con el uso se aflojan muy rápido lo que al final genera algún falso contacto y eso pone en riesgo la conexión del instrumento etc. sobre todo en vivo. Esta marca es la que hasta ahora ha cumplido con la demanda cero falsos se siente muy firme la conexión, cero ruido, muy buena la recomiendo. Excelentes los materiales de fabricación.

I'm not going to address the use of adapters here. We all know we need them, and we know when and how to use them, as well as when to avoid them and just get the real cable you need. The real problem with adapters is that most of them are so cheaply made. You've got to have a bucket of adapters, and maybe entire buckets of some types, so cost becomes an issue. But why have them at all if they are going to create more problems than they fix?Enter Planet Waves. This high-quality line of adapters has proven to me to be superior to my other adapters every time. The connecters slide in with a smooth but firm "click" like that of top quality patch bays. They are gold plated to avoid corrosion.I have a lot of adapters from Hosa, Radio Shack, and probably others; I can't identify them all. But since getting these, I always reach for them first. I will gradually replace my other brands with these, as long as I can find them, and I wish I'd started with Planet Waves adapters only.That said, if you've got the time to order adapters, consider addressing the real problem: short cables, or cables with the wrong connectors. It's always better to start with the right part. But nobody can anticipate every part for every situation. You've got to have adapters, and you need some of every possible configuration: XLR male to TRS female; XLR male to TRS male; XLR female to TRS female... etc. It's a big investment, so try not to have to buy them more than once. Get good ones the first time. I really think these are good adapters, worthy of that first purchase to last a lifetime. By the way, these have a lifetime guarantee. That alone says something about them. How many audio parts of this nature come with a lifetime guarantee?

This is my review for the Planet Waves 1/4 Inch Female Stereo Coupler, which I use to connect a Rocksmith Realtone Cable to a generic guitar cable.PROS+ DesignVery solid design. You know when you hold it it will probably last you forever.+ComponentsThe plastic seems to be of high quality and the connections are gold plated for better connection.CONS- None.OVERALLAt $9.80 at the time of purchase, I feel this was a great value purchase as I honestly believe this item will last until the end of my lifetime. It does not feel or look cheap whatsoever.

Non penso si possa dire più di tanto su un connettore. In ogni caso, questo è fatto molto molto bene. Si sente al tatto che la struttura è molto solida. L'esterno è rivestito in gomma. La qualità dei connettori è ottima. In situazioni di emergenza è una manna dal cielo quando bisogna collegare impianti con prese diverse e improvvisare raccordando i cavi a propria disposizione.A scanso di dubbi specifico che il connettore è stereo o, per meglio dire, a 3 conduttori. Potete raccordare sia cavi bilanciati/stereo sia cavi sbilanciati/mono.5 stelle!
