....of a skipping issue. I put the sign in place of another, reliable BT connection for my Mac mini and my receiver. This does have a wireless remote that helps you to adjust the sound better remotely, has the advantage of a microphone input for karaoke type functions.My reasoning for my star rating at this point is, although I have just started testing and it has skipped a few times and it's not the signal dropping out, I think it's a buffering issue. Second, I had an issue with air dropping pics from my Mac mini and had to disconnect it in order for it to work (a function that I use all of the time). The second time I tried it, it didn't work with it connected so I will update the review as I've had more time to test it, but initially this is where I'm at.

The full function remote makes configuration and setting tasks push-button easy. The device’s case, face, and rear are robustly constructed. For my use case, I wanted to transmit audio from my Android phone to our “Bluetoothless” stereo system. Following the instructions, my phone paired and held a stable signal out to normal bluetooth range. Reconnection occurred when back in range. The sound quality was excellent and there was no perceivable static or latency. The best sound quality was with an RCA to RCA cable as opposed to RCA out / AUX in, or AUX out / AUX in. Just a few nitpicks. The volume knob was mis-installed such that the mark is in the wrong location. Specifically according to the volume mark, full counter clockwise off is all the way around at 2 o'clock, while full clockwise max volume is at 12 o’clock. The off and max case graphics are at 7 o’clock and 5 o’clock respectively. The volume knob also had some lack of precision slop in it. Also, subjectively, the form factor (a bit larger than a deck of cards) seems large compared to what it does. An optical cable port would increase its flexibility, however I was satisfied with the RCA to RCA cable results. This is a good device to add a Bluetooth receiver to a stereo system or dumb speaker that lacks it.

Do you have legacy (aka "old") stereo equipment sitting around while you end up using the latest Bluetooth speaker (with limited real bass and depth of tonality) because it is easy to attach to even though the sound quality is nothing like your older stuff? I did as many of you of a certain generation likely do also. I love my older receiver/amp and high-quality speakers that have been collecting dust, but the ease of playing music straight from my phone wins 99+% of the time even through what I would have called cheap speakers. With this simple device, I've solved my problem, and I couldn't be happier.This device is so simple to set up - it just plugs directly into the Aux port of my receiver and ports music from my phone to my old system. Connecting my phone to the device via Bluetooth is a breeze - even for an admitted old guy. Sure, there is nothing like the old vinyl for "real music" but this thing gives me access to millions of songs at the touch of a few buttons. Sound quality is good - limited somewhat by Bluetooth but better because it goes through my real speakers. It functions flawlessly and lets me control everything (track, volume, etc) directly from my phone. I'm sure it would also work from an iPad or similar tool, but I use my phone. I highly recommend this for the people with a real sound system gathering dust who want to play music easily or just want their kids (or grandkids) to be able to appreciate the combination of a real system with whatever new music they want. The value of that is amazing.
