This product needs to do one thing and it does it well. There is no faffing around with installing drivers or pressing buttons, you just plug it in and power up and away you go. The best thing is that it is not expensive for something that can add value to your viewing life.We have a projector and it has a HDMI and a USB sockets on it. I use to connect the laptop to it via a cable but was becoming a pain as I like to have the laptop near me so that I can change the contents being displayed. This little gadget allows me to have what I need with no drama.It is probably going to be used in many situations in the future but I just am amazed at the price and what it does.Well done manufacturer for bringing this product to us.

I often give presentation at conferences from my personal laptop (Framework Laptop 12). In my experience, venues typically offer casting applications that require either installing a proprietary client on your machine like Solstice or maintaining a wired connection which keeps you tethered to the podium. I got this wireless HDMI transmitter hoping to mirror my display without the need for either. I also tested it with my Mac mini and my Raspberry Pi (using the Micro HDMI adapter)The box includes a user guide with detailed setup instructions, a few adapters for protocols other than HDMI, HDMI extension cords, and USB power cables. When powered up, the receiver will display set-up instructions on screen as well. The video quality is good and I did not notice any significant latency. The range is more than enough for the purposes of giving a presentation.One drawback in my opinion is the enclosure of the transmitter and receiver. When plugged into my Mac mini, for example, the transmitter blocks one USB-C port and the Ethernet port. That said, the included HDMI extension cables make this a non-issue, and I appreciate that the manufacturer included them.

I bought this to use with my M1 MacBook Air, and it’s been flawless. Setup was as simple as plugging the transmitter into my MacBook’s HDMI adapter and powering it via USB‑C, no drivers, no apps, no Wi‑Fi required. Within seconds, my MacBook screen was mirrored to my living room projector.The video quality is excellent, crisp 1080p at 60Hz, and I haven’t noticed any lag when streaming movies or giving presentations. I even tried extending my desktop instead of just mirroring, and it worked perfectly, letting me keep notes on my MacBook while the projector displayed slides.What I really appreciate is how stable the connection is. I’ve used it across the room (about 25–30 feet) with no dropouts, even with other devices on my network. The included adapters and extension cables made setup flexible, and the compact size means I can toss it in my laptop bag for work.The transmitter does get a little warm after long sessions, but nothing concerning. For anyone with an M1 MacBook Air who’s tired of juggling HDMI cables or adapters every time you want to connect to a TV or projector, this is a game‑changer.

Works surprisingly well

I'm pretty impressed with these wireless HDMI transmitter/receivers. I connected the source dongle to my laptop and the display one to my TV, plugged in the supplemental USB power sources (cables included), and the TV immediately appeared as a source on my laptop. The devices were about 2m apart and the signal seemed solid. I didn't notice any glitches and the 60fps frame rate seemed consistent.Note that these only support 1080p, which means they're probably not the best for massive TVs and very high quality content. I think my main use for it will be for quickly connecting my laptop if I want to display something that's annoying to get on the TV otherwise. It's probably good for older non-4k consoles like the Switch as well.Good value for the utility they offer.

I’m using this for connecting my PC/media server running headless to my monitor across the room, and it does the job adequately.The setup is very simple and basically plug-and-play, although I can see how it might confuse some people if they don’t read the instructions clearly. After it is set up correctly, it has a stable signal and syncs well.I did run into a problem with the power at first. A regular USB hub wasn't enough, so I had to use a stronger power source, which solved the issue. So, a good source of power is a must.One thing to note, though, is that this isn’t exactly ideal when using ultrawide monitors. I have a monitor that’s 3440 pixels across, and the image does come across as being stretched and fuzzy. It should be okay on a standard 16:9 monitor, but ultrawide users will want to be aware of this.
