I'm using this hub with my home studio. While the hub won't support charging (this is stated in the listing), it's super handy for my needs, which is providing a place on the underside of my desk where I can quickly add USB sticks to copy session files, whether that's rough mixes, project backups, or mastered tracks.The cable isn't quite 3m by my measurements, but it's close enough that I was able to mount it exactly where I needed it to be, which was of course as far away from any USB ports as possible...It being mountable and with a decently long cable, I don't need to have additional cables trailing over the floor or across the console, which is a constant struggle.Before setting this up I tested with both windows and Mac, and it works just fine with either, as you'd expect.It's a little lightweight, so if you're not planning on fixing this in place it's likely not going to stay where you left it. The cable is decent quality, nothing exciting about it but it's not flimsy - and with it being a permanent fixture it's likely to last a long time.At only £7.99 at time of ordering, it's a good price for what you get, and I'm very pleased with it.

Genuinely USB3 with proper speeds, great for USB3 thumb drives and external drives

I tested this hub with an external NVME drive in a USB3 enclosure, and proved that it was operating at USB3 speeds without any significant overhead. So this hub is ideal for those using USB3 thumb drives or USB3 external drives. It has a plastic enclosure which seems moderately robust - I'd have preferred metal, but you can't have everything. Bear in mind they make one with a USB3-A plug, and one with a USB3-C plug; I tested the one with the USB3-C plug.

This is a simple desktop dock that handles peripherals well, but note that it is definitely not what you see in the photos. See my photos attached.​I bought this because I was running out of accessible ports on my desktop and just needed something simple to give me a few extra USB sockets. It is completely straightforward. I plugged it in, and it was ready to go without needing any drivers or setup.​I have my keyboard, mouse, and webcam all running through this little dock now. It works well; I haven't had any issues with the mouse lagging or the webcam disconnecting, which was my main concern. It sits on the desk and does exactly what it is supposed to do. If you need a basic expansion for your peripherals without any hassle, this does the job perfectlyWhy the product description photographs show something so different to what arrived though, is beyond me. I got what I expected when I placed the order, but now the photographs in the description show something different. Just make sure you are going to get what you are ordering.

Handy, but no USB-C ports

This is a handy 4 port USB-3 grade hub from Rocketek, it is marked with a UTC504 part number, it has a USB-C connection to the host and a 1M cable. The main hub is a 4 port USB3 configuration, there are no USB-C ports, which is a shame as you can't feed through the existing host connection, without resorting to a USB3 to USB-C adapter if you wanted to.The unit comes with a velcro pad that is pre-cut for the bottom and 4 small 10mm screws, so that it can be screwed to a desk or similar.Its reasonably good, but really should have a mix of ports if its USB-C connected to the host.There is no option for external power either, so its only power source is from its parent device. This means that all 4 client devices will have to share the total power budget from the host and that means that they can't take utilise the full USB3- spec in regard to power.

For myself who has lots of devices and limited space sometimes. this is a very good usb port for the price.Pro'sTransfer speeds seem to be accurate , tested on 3 different usb drives, no problems.Nice matt black finish and comes with asmounting bracket built in for screwing under a desk etc, 2 strips of velcro are supplied if you don't want to damage your desk.Comes with the stated 3ft of cable so no more sitting a hub on top of your computer as the cable is too short.Usb C rather than A so compatible with phones/ tablets as well ( tested on a samsung S22 , worked brilliant ).ConsUsb cable is permanent so if it gets damaged , the hub is useless.Other than that , its a great hub for the cost , recommended.This item was received as part of the amazon vine program but my review is honest and unbiased to help people get the most information before buying a product.
