Godox improved its already good speedlight with this model! The battery performance is amazing, lasting as long as any event, output is more than you need, and although I was skeptical about the built-in LED front light its quite useful and puts out quite a lot of light for its single bulb size when you need a little twinkle light added to your video. Also, the lever lock similar to that used in overpriced Canon speedlights is an improvement over the screw-down lock of the previous model which gets stuck in lock position easily because the pin gets stuck. Godox solved this problem in this model.

Amazing flash. I am using it for focus stacking and bracketing of macros and it does the job well, is easy to use and really helps with the look of the finished photos. I recommend buying extra batteries as they can drain quickly when stacking photos

I’ve been using this primarily for macro photography and so far it’s done great. Keeps up with the camera at continuous shooting rates. Love the rechargeable Li battery. Well worth the money.

Amazing camera flash

I love this flash (or speedlight - I'm not great at modern camera terms). It's excellent quality and works perfectly with my Canon R7. With TTL it recognises the lens you're using and adjusts the spread of light to match the focal length. You can also set this yourself if needed - and a whole lot more than that besides. For me, as a very amateur photographer, I like being able to switch it on, have it work out the best settings for me and just fire away. I'll often use the built in diffuser and/or reflector to soften the light a little or manually adjust the balance down a little for a more natural look with one click. The head rotates too so you can bounce the flash of walls and ceilings depending on where you are. The battery lasts for hours too, it's never run out on me and it's quick to recharge. I haven't used the coloured gels yet, but having them has given me a few ideas for future shoots. It's made a big difference to my photography overall and gives me a load more options. Can highly recommend.

It is understandable when reviews say that Godox could inherit the bulk of the Nikon flash market as they ease out of that market. I have only used this flash in the TTL mode for bird photography and it has worked flawlessly. Plus it is USB chargeable vs batteries used in the Nikon flashes. Plus it is more economically priced.

Well, I think for the money and the quality of the equipment is very good good enough for me that I bought two I bought the first one was impressed with it and felt the day should get another one to coincide with my work still working with them to see to get them to work together. The instructions could be a little easier to figure out how to get them to work together
