The Godox IT32 is a compact, powerful and versatile flash, which can work with a wide range of camera brands with different X5 trigger.The IT32 flash has detachable X5 trigger unit, which can be attached to the camera hot shoe. The flash gets magnetically attached to the X5 trigger, as on-camera flash. If it is detached, the X5 unit can remotely trigger the flash, as an off-camera flash. The X5 triggers are designed for various camera brand and they can be bought separately for each brand, without having to a buy a separate flash.The flash is compact but powerful. It has a rechargeable battery, which has a solid performance. The flash also has a touch screen with intuitive menu options to setup desired settings. It supports TTL and manual mode, high speed sync and is compatible with other 2.4 Ghz Godox triggers. It also has an impressive modeling light.I am equally impressed by the flash power as well. It has a swivel head which can be rotated to set the light angle. During an indoor shoot, I just set the flash on half power, and bounced the light from the ceiling and was very impressed with its power and quality.It also comes with light diffuser and magnetic Full CTO and half CTO gels, which can bring in dramatic light effect. It makes it a super awesome choice as rim light as well. Le flash déporté, c'est d'habitude compliqué et encombrant. Mais pas ici. Ce flash est la simplicité même, vous détachez la tête du contrôleur qui, lui, reste sur la griffe flash de l'appareil. Vous pouvez juste tenir la tête à bout de bras (ce qui évite les yeux rouges) ou la poser dans un coin (il y a pied fourni pour ça). Je n'ai pas encore eu le temps de faire le tour de tout ce qu'il sait faire, mais l'essentiel est déjà là et facile d'accès: vous pouvez activer un "modeling light" (lumière continue) ou quelques impulsions de flash pour la mise au point, régler la puissance, etc. Seul point faible, le nombre-guide, et l'absence de tête motorisée (donc le flash ne zoome pas avec l'appareil pour concentrer le faisceau); on se demandera aussi dans quelques années comment on remplace la batterie intégrée.L'intégration avec mon Canon R7 est excellente, le R7 me montre même à l'écran le réglage de puissance du flash.

I've been running some tests with the X5 and the IT32, and here are my observations.The X5 only charges when magnetically docked to the IT32. Crucially, there is no separate charging port on the X5, so it cannot be charged independently. As long as the IT32 is plugged in and the X5 is attached, both units charge simultaneously.The combined IT32 + X5 system works flawlessly with all Godox 2.4G flashes. A standout feature for me is that even when the X5 is detached from the IT32, it retains full control over the IT32's firing. If you've already paired the IT32 with other lights, the X5 will trigger both the IT32 and those external flashes concurrently. This essentially turns the X5 into the most compact dedicated trigger Godox has ever produced.Just a quick note on setup: The X5 itself lacks pairing capabilities. You must complete the pairing process through the IT32 first; once that's done, the X5 can trigger all the lights without any issues.

I was surprised by the size, the convenience (no battery of any type - internal). I was impressed by the power of such a little flash. Cleaver and genius way to integrate the receiver, absolutely amazing. Godox hit a home run with the iT32 in my humble opinion. I do have other Godox flashes and lights, definitely this will be my “go to” flash. I have not been able to explore it fully, I received it this past Sunday, looking forward to enjoy and have fun with my new iT32. Thank you.

It's smaller than I thought and I love it. I have few Godox flashes (yes, I'm a huge fan). This one got a unique shoe mount that attached to the unit with magnet (brilliant!). The dial wheel works great and I think it's strong enough for small scens on the road. Love the design and the battery life (can be charged with USB C). I still think it's not the strongest smaller one, but I would surely take it with me in the bag as an option B.

What is not to ❤️ love about this set up. You have a highly portable speedight. You have of camera flash. On camera functionality of TTL that transfers to popping this off camera in an instant and keeping shooting. The only thing it doesn't have is a dummy connector that can easily be used with the Magmod speedight bracket. That thing is awesome. Hands down this is the best flash for wedding and event photographers. Connects flawlessly into the godox system and it's well worth spending the money sight unseen is that good. I love this thing as it's ready to go out of the box.
