This is a great wool hat. It's thin and lightweight, but soft and warm. It stretches comfortably to fit your head. I like that I can keep my head warm without needing a bulky hat.

I have a big head (a little over 22 inch circumference) but like tight fitting hats. This is exactly what I was looking for. It is Merino wool, so I think it will be a warm addition on a winter trip to Europe where I will be outside a lot with a hood on my coat for extra protection. It is light weight and comfortable. It is well made.

⭐️ARRIVAL & PACKAGING⭐️This beanie arrived very quick- packaged in a branded plastic zipper bag. Attached to the hat (via cotton string and a pin) is a branded card hang tag. The tag states that the material is 100% Superfine Merino Wool, One Size, Hand Wash Only and Made in China.Everyone knows one of the major benefits of wool is that it doesn't smell, and that was true here. The beanie had no unusual or unpleasant odors.⭐️SPECS & CONSTRUCTION⭐️When laid flat, the beanie measures 9.5” wide (at and right above the band) and 8.5” long. It has perfect symmetry and dome shape. The beanie weighs 1.44oz (or .09 lbs)The rib knit band is just under 1” wide, with the small, tight ribs measuring just a few mm in width. The band is slightly thinner than the body of the beanie, measuring about 3mm thick.The remainder of the beanie is created with a super small, tight (there are no holes/gaps and no air is getting in anywhere, but it's not overly tight) stocking knit. It's a bit difficult to tell exactly how thick this area is, but it's at least 0.5mm- 1mm thicker than the band.There is 1 seam, straight up the back of the beanie. It's flat and not bulky at all.The construction and quality is excellent. I'm a total quality snob and I can't find a single flaw here).⭐️MATERIAL⭐️The material is really nice and I believe this really IS 100% Moreno Wool- not a blend, not synthetic.First, the material is soft. Now, it does still have that ‘wooly’ texture, which tells me that the quality is not the ‘best of the best’, but it's still not bad.Of course, I had to test the wool.I carefully removed a few of the fibers (there were no loose/rogue fibers, so I had to tweeze about 8-10 out, from different sections). The small puff I had was baby soft. I then held the bunch in the tweezers while I proceeded to hold them to a flame. The fibers didn't melt (so there is nothing synthetic), smelled like burning hair and disintegrated to ash, thus signifying REAL wool.Another test was when my active, teenage daughter, who by the end of the day, after school, practice, etc, has a stinky head. Had this not been made from real wool, the hat would have stunk after she ‘borrowed’ it, but it didn't smell at all. It also doesn't absorb food odors from restaurants or the house.This beanie is warm and cozy to wear, but it's not a ‘sweaty head’ hat. The merino wool is breathable, so you don't get that gross, stinky, sweaty head in this- but you DO stay warm.⭐️SIZE & FIT⭐️I have an ‘average’ size head (22” circumference- including my THICK hair). My daughter has even thicker hair and a 23” circumference.This beanie has a nice give/stretch to it (even when stretched, it doesn't have holes/gaps), so it fits us both GREAT! It's not tight- at all, and the shape is absolutely PERFECT! It follows the curve of the head beautifully, so it fits/looks like a proper beanie, without any parts sticking or popping out. If we wear it pulled fully down hugging the head), it doesn't sit too low on the forehead. If we don't wear it fully down, there is a cute (not excessive) bit of material in the back that looks super cute.This doesn't stretch out where it looses it's shape- thankfully.Because of the size and stretch, I can't see this not fitting smaller, average and maybe even slightly above average adult sized heads.⭐️VALUE & FINAL THOUGHTS⭐️For $20, I think this is a pretty stellar find!The material is great, it's well made, looks adorable and it's super comfy to wear.We have been wearing this on the crisp fall, Upstate NY nights (it's a blessing to have on game nights!) and I foresee it being a favorite over the long winter too.I've already ordered the camel and black colors, and I'm going to try to hold off until Christmas to give them to my daughter, but I don't know if I'll make it that long.

Slim, close fitting merino wool beanie that is breathable despite the denser weave of the wool. Only a single seam on the outside and it has some stretch for comfort and fit. I like that this unlined style has enough material at the top for a slight slouch and I didn't find it to be too tight like some others have experienced. Perfect alone for medium warmth or as a base layer to wear with a parka or hoodie. Simple and stylish design that can be dressed up or down.
