Purchased as a gift for my daughter. Within the first couple of times she wore it the chain clasp broke, the glue holding the hourglass in place failed and it fell out, and the inner part that spins also fell out. Would probably be fine to wear once as part of a costume but way too fragile for regular wear. It also looks and feels cheaply made…disappointing for the price.

TLDR; Here's a video of the unboxing and spinning mechanism. Great product for a very affordable price. I'd recommend it to anyone who's a fan of Harry Potter. Basically this is an alloy based necklace which is clarified on their website. The knobs DO TURN and they aren't super fragile but they can twist off if turned in the wrong direction. The necklace doesn't have a claps/claw like hook. But it's long enough to wear where it isn't too small or too long.The metal on the actual the turner isn't too heavy but still feels like metal and the chain is a little heavier feeling like it's better quality than it appears. There are spaces in between the turn piece and you can see where there is an adhesive on the innner ring where there's a visible turn portion. I've secured mine with gorilla glue, NOT the knobs. I glued the inside portion on the inner ring where it spins on the side. I have a video showing what I mean. It looks very much like the real thing and I'd definitely recommend it for adults wanting to cosplay, kids Halloween costumes, or a sweet gift for Harry Potter fans. There are many versions of this necklace but in my opinion for the price and fast shipping I'd definitely get another one just to turn. Remember it is a collectable item but even so it's sturdy enough to use and I'd definitely recommend it to others. If your shopping during Halloween definitely buy this a week before just so you have it in time if your not using prime and even if you do still prepare early.

It’s looks just like the one in the movie. Two big issues though- the sand or whatever is in the hour glass doesn’t move. Why didn’t they just use real sand or something that could move through the hourglass? Also, the chain is insanely long with no way to shorten it. It should have a few larger circles along the chain and a clasp so you can resize. Both kids I know who have it end up tying the chain in a knot in the back. Not ideal.

The media could not be loaded. I am profoundly disappointed and frustrated with the time turner necklace purchase. The product, intended as a special gift for my daughter, was a complete letdown as it starkly differs from its advertisement. Despite Amazon's efficient refund process, for which I am grateful, the seller's actions are utterly unacceptable. The item, as evidenced in the provided picture and video, is nothing more than a keychain, contrary to the advertised necklace with a chain connected at two points of the time turner. This is a clear case of gross misrepresentation and deceitful advertising.
